My name is Janet Sherritt and I'm a rock artist, not a rockstar (yet anyway). I enjoy adding a unique perspective to my work in order to make each piece memorable. Every hand picked river rock is as distinguished as the Fur baby it memorializes. Our pets touch our hearts in a way that we will never forget, just as a gift from Original Pet Rocks will touch the recipient in a way they will always remember.
My Craft Creation Process
Although I’ve been interested in art my whole life, I only began pursuing it as a living in 2019, when I founded Original Pet Rocks. By using handpicked Whitewater River rocks, based on their size and shape, I transform them into original works of art. Each river rock is approximately the size of a human hand and used to create custom pet portraits immortalized on stone. All that is required from you is a photograph of your pet. My mission has been to provide an honest critique of a beloved pet through each of my intricate and unique art pieces

All of my pet portraits feature intense watercolors; you're also able to add artistic inscriptions, making each one very personal. I can help my clients and customers come to a decision by showing them references of my work where they can choose an idea of what they like. Moreover, thanks to the high quality of my materials and processes, the durability and integrity of my work are always evident in every piece I create, and will last for many years to come.
